The GCE provides the upfront money so that your organization can invest in energy projects without using any of your own capital.  Energy projects in the GCE pay for themselves with the efficiency generated, so instead of your energy infrastructure, you can save your capital to grow your business.

The focus is to alleviate the 3 main concerns for energy efficiency and generation projects:

1. Eliminate the burden of high up-front capital costs for upgrades

2. Assist in helping find qualified and vetted vendors that can design maximum long term solutions

3. Remove the burden of uncertainty, by providing 100% Guarantee of energy savings performance

MORE THAN FINANCING: THE GCE ALSO HELPS YOU DEVELOP YOUR PROJECT

Our clients appreciate that we operate on behalf of their interest, maintaining the "power of information" so they remain in the driver's seat.  The funding is nice, but the most important part of the system is working with the client to determine the projects.  We analyze the facility, make clean energy recommendations, engineer the savings, guarantee the performance, and run the bid process to make sure that a fair price is negotiated for the customer. GCE funding is available for energy savings projects that show "definitive and calculated engineered savings," with the main focus that they are "financially positive" over a set time, including:

The GCE system pays for 100% of the project with no up-front cash payment* and GUARANTEES a positive financial return DAY 1. Property owners that participate in the GCE program may repay their improvement costs over a set time period—up to 20 years. The project is secured by the guaranteed energy savings and paid back as a lease, debt, or on property tax bills. In most projects, by design, the building owner will receive upgrades and positive cash flow immediately.

GCE clients include commercial, industrial, and both public and private institutions. Minimum requirement is 50,000 square feet to invest in a total project's energy efficiency.

It all started when...

It's easy to look at the GCE now and say it is a no-brainer, but just think about why this is possible: you used to have to buy a light bulb or change out an energy device from your limited facilities budget of cash on hand.  Once the budget was gone, there was no way to upgrade your facility to be energy efficient.  That cycle continued year after year, never allowing for a full facility upgrade, as most budgets are for maintenance, not for infrastructure upgrades. Even good planning would be derailed, as every year the "new production machine" got the capital that was going to go to energy, and energy planning took the back seat for yet another year or two on the budgets. Sound familiar?

Energy infrastructure now requires no budgets or up front capital.  Simply let the energy savings pay for the project.  If you do a project that saves 25% on energy, and the loan is interest at 5%, then you have generated 20% savings year over year, and not used a single bit of capital to accomplish the project.  The big difference is that now lenders and CFO's are comfortable loaning money for an energy project, because the GCE follows a system and engineering that allow the energy savings to be GUARANTEED.  Without the guarantee, there is no bank to loan the money, and there is no CFO confidence in the cash flow. 2.Equip our heroes with the skills for good-paying jobs of the future.

At the GCE initiative we are hiring veterans in several positions to gain valuable energy industry skills.  Veterans will run our energy evaluation process, manage our on-site construction projects, and work with the distribution chain of vendors and suppliers on major energy projects.

We are currently accepting applications for 2018, and are looking to contract 20 veterans for the energy efficiency infrastructure training objective.
